Prime Minister and senior BJP leader Narendra Modi today attacked again on Congress on the issue of minority reservation and said that Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar openly opposed the reservation on the basis of religion and Congress wants to give benefits on the basis of religion which is against the wishes of Babasaheb. He was speaking at a political rally in Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Prime Minister addressed back to back three rallies in state on the seats where elections will be held in 5th and 6 phases.
Earlier, addressing a political rally in Barabanki Prime Minister Modi said that Samajwadi party has taken refuge in Bengal now and the their political alliance is only for vote bank and appeasement. He said that if Congress and Samajwadi Party come to power, they will run buldozer on Ram temple in Ayodhya. In another political rally in Fatehpur district Narendra Modi said that during earlier regimes UP was infamous for crime and corruption but now the state is leading in development.
Meanwhile, in a major development Samajwadi Party MLA from Unchahar constituency in Raebareli Manoj Pandey today joined BJP in the presence of Union Home minister and senior party leader Amit Shah. Later, Mr. Shah also addressed a political gathering in Unchahar and stated that if the I.N.D.I.A. block comes to power, they will lock the Ram temple again.
Defence Minister and senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh addressed a gathering in Ballia district, affirming that the BJP is poised to come to power for the third consecutive term. Chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and BJP leader Yogi Adityanath today addressed political rallies in Barabanki, Ayodhya and Balrampur.
On the other hand, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi today addressed political rally in Raebareli along with the Party candidate and her son Rahul Gandhi and Congress General secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Sonia Gandhi said that Gandhi family has an emotional connection with the people of Raebareli which is decades old. She said that now Rahul Gandhi will serve the people of the Raebareli like she did for most almost 20 years and appealed people to vote for him. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that people of the country are fed up with BJP and this time they want change. Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav was also present at the rally and claimed that the BJP is going to lose the elections, and Narendra Modi will not become the Prime Minister for the third time.
